Over the past few weeks, with libraries temporarily closed, we have been working hard to keep culture and entertainment accessible to all. From early April we offered all public libraries free access to Medici.tv content. No less than 30 library authorities signed up for this free service, giving authenticated access remotely to a population in excess of 9 million people.

From Stornoway to Westward-Ho and Lancashire to Cambridgeshire, Medici.tv’s reference catalogue of over 3,500 musical works and 2,000 films have been enjoyed on computers, smartphones and tablets in High Definition, for the past 8 weeks. In June we welcome three new library authorities to the full Medici subscription service, with more hoping to take up Medici’s competitive price offer in the coming weeks.

The free month saw strong usage averaging 200 video views per week of use, and an average viewing time of 45 minutes, proving that Medici.tv has cemented its spot as a compelling digital service among the UK’s public library community.

We continue to offer different remote access solutions in order to allow your patrons to watch Medici’s programs from home (proxy, referrer URL, passcode…). If you are interested in a trial or quotation for a full year of unlimited access to the best of classical music, dance and opera, just email nicola@digitalcontentassociates.com.
