ALA's Libraries Transform Campaign

‘Libraries today are less about what they have for people and more about what they do for and with people’ (Libraries Transform Campaign, USA)

ALA’s Libraries Transform campaign was launched in 2015 as a public awareness campaign  with the purpose of ‘highlighting the transformative nature of [..] libraries and elevating the critical role libraries and library professionals play in the digital age’. Although this campaign is based in the US, the many ideas, materials and initial successes are inspirational for librarians across the world who face similar challenges.

The aims of this campaign include shifting perception of the library from an optional ‘nice to have’ institution to being ‘essential’ to the community;  an objective that DCA London strives to help our client libraries achieve through the installation of high-usage content for the widest range of library users.  You can find out more at the Libraries Transform campaign website.
